Researchers, Students & Staff of KML
Kewalo Marine Lab is currently made up of four independent research groups headed by Drs. Michael G. Hadfield, Mark Q. Martindale, Robert Richmond, and Elaine C. Seaver. All faculty members hold appointments in academic departments, each and train undergraduate and graduate students, and all serve on committees on the main campus of the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. All members maintain dynamic research programs and participate in national and international scientific organizations.
Kewalo Marine Lab is currently home to seven post-doctoral fellows, 15 graduate students, nine undergraduates, and two research assistants.
The office support staff at Kewalo Marine Lab includes an Administrative Officer, Institutional Support Adminstrator, and Secretary. A full-time Marine Laboratory Supervisor and undergraduate assistant see to all of the builiding maintenance, equipment repair, and animal-collecting services.
