Eric Roettinger
A close encounter with Dendrodoris nigra, a nudibranch from Hawaiian shore lines. The photographer, Eric Roettinger, is a postdoctoral fellow in Mark Martindale's group at the University of Hawai'i Kewalo Marine Laboratory. Besides his work on evolutionary and developmental biology, Eric has a keen interest in portraying the fascinating, colourful and highly endangered marine world, and is an active contributor to the Kahi Kai ("one ocean") online community Kahi Kai.
